As more and more members are getting into the family of Vineridge, this family needs an administration and management system operated by us, the students! The Student Council will be established next week, and the exciting election period began on Monday.
All of the candidates were well prepared for the Student Council campaign and they had beautifully designed posters to make a good pitch for themselves. Each of them have their own ideas for the sake of the school, and each person has many different perspectives.. In the running for this council are: Tom, Bella, Lisa, James, Miles, Frisk and Osman.
Tom is the first person to present for running in the election, and the audience could feel that he was a little bit nervous. Meanwhile he gave us enough confidence to vote for him because in his presentation he told us that he is always willing to help us, especially with academic problems.
since he has advanced grades in every subject.
Lisa Ding, who owns the similar benefit as Tom, also did the election.
Unlike others, Lisa looked like a perfectly-prepared person during her speech. She can speak English very fluently just like a first language person of English.
Bella and James are the two people who like to use humor to present their ideas. Bella put more attention on mental health awareness in our school, while James’s focus was on the overall organization.
Osman and Frisk are the two people who have stayed in the school for the longest time, so they know most about the school and how the Student Council can make a difference. What they displayed to us is more about the issues in this school, e.g., Osman stated that our school could have more activities, and Frisk pointed out that trying new and different foods in the cafeteria could be interesting. If concerns like these are demonstrated, it will be easy to find solutions because everyone helps in thinking; and this will make a perfect school.
Last but not least, Miles also has the big benefit of friendship: he has a lot of popularity which is a huge advantage of winning the election.
The Student Council campaign has come to a close with great speeches. Out of all the candidates, a total of four will win to become a member of Student Council, which will be a great honor during their high school career.
We are excited to see our Student Council take action soon!
